After being mind-controlled by the War Machines she goes for a rest in the country and decides not to return. First Doctor. 7. Adrienne Hill as Katarina

A Trojan handmaiden who never comes to understand the TARDIS as anything but a temple, and the Doctor as a god. Dies in self-sacrifice after being attacked by an escaped prisoner, Kirksen, by opening the airlock containing them both. First Doctor. 6. Jean Marsh as Sara Kingdom

An officer of the 40th-century Earth's Space Security. Ruthless and aggressive, she is tempered through her time helping the Doctor but dies from the rapid-aging effects of the Time Destructor. First Doctor. Stories as a companion include: "The Daleks' Master Plan".

Astronaut kept captive by a robot race called the Machanoids. Escaping in their fight with the Daleks, he stows away in the TARDIS. Ironic and questioning.
