The twisted plots involving vampires, werewolves, and the like continue to deepen as Vampire Diaries hits its stride, its young leads maturing along with the plotlines. As one of four genre series on The CW, it now hits veteran status, likely driving its writers to branch out its development of the central cast in new, audience-grabbing ways.
