The Star Wars universe consists of much more than the six films, but a broad Expanded Universe of novels, comics, television series, video games and more. The following timeline contains only a sample of all the stories that make up the ongoing Star Wars saga.

Dates in the Star Wars universe are calculated according to the Battle of Yavin, the destruction of the Death Star at the end of A New Hope; for example, Revenge of the Sith takes place in 19 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), or 19 years before A New Hope, and Return of the Jedi takes place in 4 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin), or four years after A New Hope).
