Summary:
Mick and Josef team up with other area vampires to protect their secret identities after a murder investigation threatens to expose them. The crime in question occurs when a vampire kills a human in a moment of passion.
Comments:
The writing was already on the wall when this episode was made, so the creators did their best to tie up the loose ends in Mick and Beth’s relationship (she worries about the human/vampire thing, but he loves her) while leaving room for the next chapter. Emma (Heather Stephens), who’s been with the lover she sired for 150 years, opens up questions about Mick and Beth; her threat to reveal the names of all the local vampires underlines how close to exposure they are. As a cliffhanger, Talbot gets the list of names (including Mick) anyway. Oh, and Claudia Black (Stargate SG-1) is perfect casting for the Cleaner.
