Josef is four centuries old and has a slightly jaded air, but he’s a loyal friend who remains worried about Mick’s best interests. His concern about Mick’s relationship with Beth stems in part from his own ill-starred affair, the tragic effects of which he long kept secret. Josef has deep connections in the vampire community and works to keep it protected from exposure.
