Every isolated-town drama, from Jericho to Once Upon a Time, needs an outsider accidentally trapped in the action who turns out to become a key player. For Under the Dome we now have Aisha Hinds, a sci-fi/fantasy veteran famous for her coif (or, rather, her lack thereof) who played Miss Jeanette on True Blood and Loomis on Dollhouse. She will play Carolyn Hill, an entertainment attorney from L.A. trapped in Chester's Mill while driving through town with her partner and their daughter on the way to deliver the teen to a camp for troubled youth. Wait, isn't that the setup for Eureka?
It's turning out to be am intriguing cast. Also on board for Under the Dome is Colin Ford, the bright young star who steals every flashback episode of Supernatural as young Sam; Secret Circle star Britt Robertson, who is going to be great to see again; Jolene Purdy from Gigantic; and Natalie Martinez, who, by coincidence, is Hinds's former castmate on Detroit 1-8-7.
