The Neighbors, that ABC sitcom about a family that moves into a development populated by aliens with sports-star names like Johnny Unitas, has had its potential life extended just a bit.

ABC has ordered three more scripts for the series, which is not quite the vote of confidence that Revolution got earlier in the month when its back nine was picked up, bulking up the NBC series to a full season order.
Still, even if scripts don't necessarily always get made, fans can take it as a promising sign--although the last time I was writing about a borderline series getting an order for just three more scripts, it was A Gifted Man.
The ratings have been middling at best--the Oct. 10 episode garnered 6.4 million viewers, losing a slice off the 7.9 million of its lead-in, The Middle.
