The big news this week: Mockingbird Lane, Bryan Fuller's reboot of The Munsters, continues to add fun names to its cast list. After the big name choice of Eddie Izzard for the grandfather character in March and British starlet Charity Wakefield as Marilyn, we now have Spy Kids 4 and The Middle star Mason Cook slotted as Eddie.

Cook will have an even higher profile by the time the show airs, assuming the pilot sells: he has roles in two upcoming movies, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, where he plays a younger version of the title character played by Steve Carell; and the Disney revamp of The Lone Ranger.

Mason is the first American to be cast, interestingly enough (though Izzard plays American regularly these days); but what to expect from the two big remaining question marks, Lily and Herman? Who plays them will make all the difference. Will Fuller cast his favorite go-to actor, Lee Pace, as Herman? (No.) The question of who on the modern Hollywood landscape corresponds to Fred Gwynne is an intriguing stumper indeed.

Meanwhile, Syfy's time-travel series Rewind has added some intriguing guest stars to its pilot: grizzled Lost alum Jeff Fahey and David Cronenberg. That's right--famed horror/thriller filmmaker Cronenberg won't be directing Rewind (that task goes to another Lost veteran, Jack Bender), he'll be acting in it. That would have to be one interesting day on the set.
