Interestingly, as Ghost Whisperer is co-owned between CBS Studios and ABC Studios, the upshot might be that Ghost Whisperer might drop off of CBS's schedules and resurface on ABC's, resulting in a strange echo of last season's Medium network switcheroo.
The ratings have sunk this season, but the fact is that none of the broadcast networks is doing well on Friday nights this year, and Ghost Whisperer is pulling in okay if unremarkable ratings. There seems to be less of a chance that Ghost Whisperer will be canceled outright, than that CBS will rethink Fridays and leave the show without a berth.
Ghost Whisperer, currently in its 5th season and on the far side of its hundredth episode, is doing well in domestic and international rating and continues to pull a following, as does its brandmade Medium, but given its longevity and success in reruns it wouldn't be difficult for network execs to decide it has run its course. Medium, wholly owned by CBS Studios and normally keeping all of its Ghost Whisperer lead-in, is slightly more likely to stay on the CBS network, but if CBS decides to shake up Fridays it's likely both shows will be closed out.

Please don’t take my Ghost Whisperer away. I’m a new fan, after starting to watch it on WE channel. I LOVE the show and the romance of Jim and Melinda(the Ghost Whisperer)

The worst mistake they did was bring in a kid for Melinda especially that weird looking one.The whole show has gotten so dull and not as good as before.The actors all look kind of tired also like they just read the lines and not really put good emotions into it.But they really shouldn’t cancel it just yet though!
Abby, don’t say bad things about Connor. He’s a joy. The show is as amazing and breath taking as it used to be…and it’s not going anywhere.
I watch Ghost Whisperer but over the last year and a half there has been too much Jamie Kennedy and too little David Conrad. Now that Jennifer is not dating Jamie perhaps the show will return to more Jennifer and David time. I always thought that Jennifer and Jamie had too many conversations that would have been better suited between her and David. I hope that the show stays around and that Jamie Kennedy finds a new experiment.
Ghost Whisperer is one of the Best Friday night show my family and I enjoy. Jennifer Love Hewitt , David Conrad, Jamie Kennedy and Camryn Manheim put together makes the show even better. A huge mistake if CBS cancels Ghost Whisperer.

I wonder how the ratings work. Do they factor in people who record the show (or DVR it) and watch it later(which I do)? How about people who watch the show online (which I do)? I love this show and I’d hate to think that it’s being canceled just because people have places to go on Friday nights…..
I think that CBS is really screwing up. Ghost Whisperer is an awesome series. I know I am just one person, but CBS drops Ghost Whisperer and ABC picks it up. I will make ABC my most watched channel. Please don’t take Ghost Whisperer away I guarantee it will hurt CBS rating’s along with Cold Case and Miami Medical. I watched Medium only cause of the 2 shows before and after Medium. It was not half as good as Ghost Whisperer.
I agree with Abby worst mistake ever to bring that kid in he doesn’t even act like a kid he’s way to perfect and annoying. He should have a trajic (SP) accident and be killed off then the network would have better stuff to work with I don’t like watching shows that center around the kids. Why did I watch it then? I was hoping they would figure a way to get fans interested again I do wish it wasn’t canceled.
I hope they don’t completely cancel Ghost Whisperer….I love the show…all of it, even the kids…..It’s the best show ever…Come on, isn’t the fan base what matters??? Isn’t that what keeps the show going?? I’ve been on many Ghost Whisperer sites and pages, and there’s a lot of fans out there….don’t they care enough not to take our favorite show away???
