No Dollhouse in November

Fox is temporarily removing from its schedule during November sweeps, says Michael Ausiello on EW.com, a sign the network is not confident Dollhouse won't be a drag on the network's overall numbers.
Ratings continue to be a problem for Dollhouse. For the Oct. 9 airing, for example, Dollhouse garnered 1.6 million viewers and a 2 share. Even Smallville, on the much smaller CW network, got the same viewership and a 3 share. For comparison, the night's supernatural powerhouses, Ghost Whisperer and Medium, earned 6.2 and 6.0 million viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day figures.
Ausiello believes Dollhouse's future is bleak: "Barring a ratings miracle," he says, "Dollhouse will be shut down for good after it completes its current 13-episode order." Ratings miracles do happen, but they don't happen too often on Friday nights on Fox.
One thing about Fridays is that fans tend to record their shows and watch them later. In fact Dollhouse and Smallville, another Friday night show, were tied earlier this month for the largest gain in viewers after DVR viewing is factored in. Both shows added 50 percent more viewers in the seven days following their initial airings.
Two episodes a night will be shown when Dollhouse returns in December.

I watch it, this past one was pretty good. But I also watch Ghost Whisperer and Medium. Since Dollhouse is on the same time Medium and SGU on SyFy I have to choose what I watch and what I record. I base it on what plays on Video on Demand. I noticed that Dollhouse isn’t on demand so i definately record it for a later viewing. thank goodness SYFY repeats their shows several times a night !
L really enjoy Dollhouse. The actors and the concept,of the show. I think that if on a different night, say Mondays, It would pull in the viewers. As it is on Friday night I tape. I tape Dollhouse and I tape Medium. If I am at home I watch Dollhouse and tape Medium. Change the night its on, can’t hurt, it will probably do great.
Thanks
Joss Whedon is great. It was a crime what happened to Firefly. However, as much as I want to like Dollhouse, it is not of the same caliber as Firefly. Eliza Dushku is a terrible actress. Every time she’s in the “clueless” mode in the dollhouse I have to switch the channel. She’s horribly irratating. Drop her and focus on Sierra, and the show might have a chance.
like dollhouse agree with changing nights but dont forge many of us watch online.. At leadt five it a finale please
just discovered this show (where have i been?) — wow! a friend mentioned the show, i bought the box set of season 1, this week watched all season 2 online — i’m hooked!
this show is smart, textured, darkly funny, and with the best of both storytelling worlds — rich, deep characters (ok, sometimes *real* shallow on dh!) who have exciting adventures on each show — and continue to grow from one episode to another! and it truly, truly surprises! great entertainment! yes, maybe another night — obviously shares a core audience with medium — dollhouse is unique — give ‘er a slot n’ let ‘er shine!
I always would DVR Dollhouse, Ghost Whisperer, Medium and Smallville. Friday night is just a bad night for me to watch TV since my Husband is home and he does not watch those shows. Therefore, he wants to watch something we both have recorded previously. I love the Dollhouse and I am upset that they are not showing it due to the Friday night low ratings. I think that they should have it on a Different night to pull back up the ratings, and the same with Smallville. Those two shows are for the Young people, even though I am not, Friday is just a bad night since young people normally go out on Friday. I hope they think this through and do not cancel it completely. Linda, a older persons view point.
