"That's it": Fox Terminates Sarah Connor

Evidently it is. Fox announced its schedule for the 2009-2010 season this week, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is not on it, ending two seasons' worth of struggling against low ratings and lower visibility.
Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly had little to say about axing Sarah Connor. "It completed its run," he said. "That's it."
Fans are asking why Sarah was killed when Dollhouse, which was getting equally lame ratings, was picked up, but the answer is pretty clear: Dollhouse got boffo DVR ratings, and Fox decided Joss Whedon could give Dollhouse the kind of direction that Sarah has had trouble finding.
And then there's the Whedon fan factor. "If I canceled [Dollhouse] I'd probably have 110 e-mails this morning," Reilly joked. Or was he joking?
Thomas Dekker is grateful, at least, if not reconciled: he posted a video on YouTube thanking the fans (warning: contains language). Meanwhile, as already reported, Brian Austin Green has already moved on to a CW series with Gabrielle Union, Body Politic.

Reilly will get more than 110,000,000 emails from TSCC fans.
I am very disappointed. The Terminator TV series was spectacular. The 2nd season was so creative and had a fabulous finish. We need more!!
Some of the best writing on television and the plot twists metlted together perfectly!! I was looking forward to an awesome 3rd season considering the way the second one ended. It would have been great! Fox screwed up bad on this one. Yes the ratings were low but consistant from what I’ve read about them. Its ashame they didn’t give it a better time slot in either year. Monday nights it tough to crack for any show and Friday nights is usually the kiss of death for any show. I think Fox should Terminate some of it’s execs for being Morons!!
i don’t get whats so hard to understand, they had similar ratings except terminator has had multiple chances in multiple time slots to be a hit, they aren’t going to try putting it on every day of the week before they cancel it. dollhouse hasn’t been given a chance so they were probably trying to give it one.
I did enjoy the show but felt that the writing could have been better. But seriously, if you can’t make a successful TV show out of the terminator franchise there’s something wrong with you and your network. Millions of people will see the movie in the theatre and if the TV show plots had more depth and intricacy and less teen-aged angst it would still be on the air and thriving.
End of line.
Another stupid choice to cancel a great show. What about someone else picking up the series like the Sci Fi channel?
Josh Friedman said Fox or nothing at all.
Fox is stupid, this was the best show on television.
This was the only show on TV I watched…..Now I have absolutely no reason to to even turn any broadcast TV on. Here’s an Idea get rid of some of the overload of garbage “reality” shows. If i wanted to watch how people get along together in a house……I would stick a bunch of cameras in my own …… Lame….I hate the average american. No life, 2.5 annoying money pits (kids), Pathetically having to live through other peoples experiences because their own lives are utterly boring and uneventful.
Josh Friedman can take a flying leap.
He can easily be replaced.
He wasn’t even writing the shows.
Nor directing them.
