NBC has picked up a half-season run of the postapocalyptic drama Day One.

The original plan was to run the series between the first and second halves of season 4 of Heroes. At its "infronts" the network said that Day One would debut coming out of their 2010 Winter Olympics coverage, but did not specify the slot.

Day One relates the story of life on Earth after a global catastrophe occurs that affects the world's infrastructures. (Hopefully, Keanu Reeves was not involved.) Survivors face an uncertain future, though they work together to rebuild a new society and unravel the mysteries of why the event took place and what the future has in store.

Cast members include Adam Campbell, Catherine Dent, Julie Gonzalo, David Lyons, Derek Mio, Carly Pope, Thekla Reuten, and Addison Timlin. The executive producer and writer is Jesse Alexander, one of the creative forces behind Alias and Heroes.

(1) critic :

I am really fed up with so called critics who are (1) unprofessional (2) too lazy to do research and (3) have no journalistic or critical writing standards, rushing to take the cheap shot at Keanu Reeves. Every time you continue to do this you really light it up with his fans. We already know you don’t have any. Clean up your act.

Ditto to what critic said, although I’ve definitely seem far worse and more undeserved.

thats exactly what I thought . Give that show a healty budget and a third season . Ofcourse i’ll check this show out too but it’s still a shame most sci fi gets axed before it can grow . Makes me wonder if they are gonna cut this story short too . After Space above and beyond and Jericho i have no more trust in the major networks
