What's Your Most Powerful Battlestar Moment?

As we say goodbye to Battlestar Galactica, I started thinking about all the most shocking, gasp-inducing moments from this series and the whole run of the show.

This season's biggest OMG moment would be a tough call, as there have been a pile of blind-siding revelations (though the reveal that Ellen Tigh (Kate Vernon) was the last Cylon was more of a "really?" kind of moment). I think what most shocked me, though, was the what-a-nice-day, la-la-la BANG! suicide of Dee Dualla (Kandyse McClure) in "Sometimes a Great Notion." I knew something was up with her that episode because she'd been backgrounded for ages and now was suddenly being recapped in the "Previously on," but I was not expecting that.

But out of all of the gaspers, the biggest one still has to be that one from the miniseries with Six (Tricia Helfer). You know the one. On Caprica. With the baby carriage. And – snap. Oh, snap.

That's when I knew.

So I'm curious – comment below on this. Tell me your most powerful Battlestar moment.

Adama on the top of the hill with Laura Roslins’ grave behind him. The music, the visual, all through tears was humbling very humbling… we are all mortal.

“So say we all.”

…I thought the most powerful moment was at the very end of an episode when Admiral Adama and Colonal Tigh were sitting on the couch sharing a toast. They decided it was time to abandon ship. I felt that they were finally just too exhausted to continue. It was almost a feeling of “Surrender”

Let’s not forget the “it’s so thick you can touch it” electric connection between Kara Thrace and Adama when they fought in the boxing ring. Or the scene where Adama hugs Kara and acknowledges her as his daughter when she herself doesn’t know what she is.

I’m looking forward to resavoring the series - the best television show I’ve watched in a very long time.

I have to agree, the moment in the beginning with a smile and snap, and the “act of kindness”

I new, this was not Saturday morning cartoon stuff!

The most powerful moment for me is when the galactica is in battle with the cylon base ships in the rescue mission on new caprica and when all looks lost lee brings the pegasus in to save the day. I can watch that seen over and over.
