Kyle XY, which stars Matt Dallas a pod-grown teenage boy, has only just started its third season. I like Kyle and was drawn to it in the first season as Kyle learned about the world from scratch; but as I mentioned in my review of the season premiere, the series has seemed unsure what it's about, as Kyle's maturation distances him from the petty problems of his foster family, the Tragers. And new bad guy Cassidy (Hal Ozsen) is attracting attention more for his runway-model hair than his scattershot villainy.
In fact Kyle may have had its jump-the-shark moment this week ("In the Company of Men," 3x04), as Kyle got drunk (girlfriend Amanda has dumped him after seeing him kissing Jessi), climbed onto a bar counter, and shouted "I'm Kyle XY!!" This came after a handful of very low-budget stunts in which he showed off his powers to some random girl.
Oh, and then there was the massive hurl in a car impound lot – offscreen, but huge enough to create a gust of wind that buffetted poor Josh (Jean-Luc Bilodeau). The end-of-episode kicker? Long-gone personal sensei Tom Foss (Nicholas Lea) returned with the shocking news that Kyle's creator, Adam Baylin, is dead. Again.
It's possible this was an aberration as the show shifts gears and moves toward its climax. Six episodes remain for the third season, and more serious drama lays ahead: Nicole (Marguerite MacIntyre) is injured in a car accident next week, forcing Kyle to go to Cassidy, and Foss has promised that Baylin's death "changes everything" (presumably it frees Latnok to act more aggressively). Meanwhile Kyle gets hit from the other side as Amanda finds a new beau, Nate (the steamy Jesse Hutch from American Dreams, who's on board for the rest of the season). And Kyle finds out Latnok isn't what he expects.
Meanwhile ABC Family has ordered ten episodes of three new series geared toward teen girls, including a series based on the Julia Stiles/Heath Ledger film 10 Things I Hate About You. The network also renewed Greek for a third season and Lincoln Heights for a fourth.

I think that part of a broadcast license should come an obligation to finish what they started. The way it is now even when the DVD set comes out, we don’t even get the producer/writer discussing where he WOULD have went with the series and the ending we never saw.
Can I sue ABC for breach of contract?
If shows aren’t let, NO required to have an ending, then we will start getting shows with absurd plotlines that producers never intend to deliver on…instead writing rediculous stories just to keep the numbers up.
E.G. LOST, what if the ending was a complete cop out where none of the MANY storylines were sensibly concluded because the producer was simply trying to get numbers by “creating” so many intreging storylines the keep people watching for the (never given) answers?
Well all I know is Kyle XY is the only show I watch on ABCFamily, now there will be nothing I watch…Oh, and I’m a homeowner who buy new cars regularly, stays on the cutting edge of technology (I have BOTH HD-DVD AND Blu-Ray…both of which I feel will fail), with a daughter who I buy everything for and take everywhere to see everything…and spends more money on sponsors than “young” women do.

So having a hunky young man is not enough to attract young females? Who in ABC thought that one up? Did they do some kind of random survey to find out what kind of programs these young females are watching? This just leaves me more time to watch NCIS. Just bring back the show.
Oh come on. Really ABC Family? If the decision is split between progressing with Secret Life and Kyle XY, that choice should be easily made. Kyle XY of course. Secret Life has predictable endings. She has her kid and stays with either the father or that other kid. Or she decides to put it up for adoption and stays with either one of those two guys again. Or maybe she’ll lose her baby in the end. There. There would be no point in continuing after that. How developed would you have to get on that one before you had to change the series name?? And by the by, I think that The Secret Life of the American Teenager isn’t even the right name in the first place.

I’m terribly saddened and angry at ABC Family’s decision to cancel Kyle XY. It’s my favorite show and the only reason I tune into that network. Consider my viewership of ABC Family canceled as well!
The only show on ABC Family I watch is Kyle XY. No, I am not a teenaged girl. Far from it. But I watch TV all the time and don’t think everything should be geared just toward one demographic. Besides, I would think teenaged girls would like Matt Dallas. He is a hunk. I bet The Secret Life of an American Teenager turns out to be just another bunch of silly drivel.
I guess that it is typical for ABC to cancel a popular series such as “Kyle XY” and to just focus on the 13 1/2 to 14 year old female market. Do they realize that there is a much larger general market that enjoys original drama in the form of a television series. And the networks wonder why viewership drops year after year! I am glad that there continues to be more options and I should realize not to bother to follow a new television series, for it will only be cancelled. “Kyle XY” had some great writers, wonderfully talented actors, and imagination. Maybe another network could pick it up. I was thinking about Stargate SG1. It was picked up by Sci-Fi Channel after 3 years (not sure what network it was on first) and continued for 6 or 7 more years. Lets be hopeful. I don’t really watch anything else on ABC family nor have I ever (including a show about a pregnant teenager). So, when this series ends so will my veiwership.
It should be again’st the law to just pull a series, without a season for an ending. They did it for 4400 and Invasion too and I for one am tired of it. Makes you not want to get too wrapped up in a series because you never know when the big wigs are just going to say, Thats All Folks!
This was the first and will be the last program I will ever watch on the Family Channel. The rest are drivel.

i wish they’d stop cancelling shows i like. i mean everytime i really get into it, they just cancel it. to all those people who said that stuff about secret life of the american teenager, i agree with you. i mean the only reason i watch that is so i won’t forget to turn to kyle xy. this is so disappointing for me. i mean i want to know what’s gonna happen with kyle and jessi and i don’t believe they can sum that up into six episodes. i just hate it cuz it seems so unfinished. its like when they did the last episode of the o.c. and dawson’s creek, they went ahead and showed what happened in the future. they really need to do that with this.
I’ve always been a science fiction buff, so I got into this series right off. I’ve found that, for the most part, networks tend to kill off their best series’ after doing something stupid first, such as…placing them on indefinite hiatus to artificially drop their numbers, so that they can then justify dropping the series.
Something that people should understand here is that TV is a business, and when networks are paying for what they get, they almost always tend to believe that it’s not worth the expense…even though it may place them at the top of the ratings, which isallegedly what their intention is.
The facts actually seem to add up to the networks not caring about what their audiences actually LIKE.
This is one of the best written, best acted series in a long time, so it makes perfect sense that such a series would be discontinued before their actors started getting paid at the rates they so richly deserve for their work.
Congratulations, ABC…you’re pulling a “Futurama” on your viewers just like Fox did…and eventually, the public will understand that it’s not because you want to do anything truly impressive, but because you want to continue to product an incredible, steaming pile of drivel for the ignorant masses who are really not even worth marketing to in the first place, because they’ll be just as happy watching Jerry Springer, or some other “scripted reality dreck” that seems to be all that any network is willing to produce these days.
Perhaps there are enough ignorant viewers out there who don’t care about what they watch, but I’m willing to bet that there are enough viewers out there who will be more than a little annoyed at yet another great show being axed for corporate greed and ignorance.
Maybe they just don’t want to keep it going because they’re producing it in Vancouver…and they’re afraid they might not get any “bailout” or “stimulus” money from Obama if they spend anything in “one of those terrorists countries” like Iraq or Canada…after all, everyone knows that if you’re not “American” you’re a terrorist, right? Well, unless you’re “American”…in which case, you’re a terrorist too…gotta love that PATRIOT Act, huh?

Ok this is too the people at abc family, what are you thinking? if your trying to target 13 year old girls, they are only going to be that age for a year, so you can get them watching a show but in a year or too they arent going to want to watch a show about some pregnant girl that can only go what maybe another season or at most 2 more. Kyle XY has lots of potential, like this season he is actually starting to get into typical teenage problems with the whole Latnock thing too. I know this message probably wont do anything because your set in your ways of canceling good shows to replace with crap that makes my brain bleed. I am above your age demographics and have a very demanding work schedule, but my dvr records every episode. I have just saw the announcement for the final episodes and I am very upset. I am upset that you would let go of a true family show and go with another one like the american teenager where the daughter is pregnant. I dont know what american family you are speaking about, but it is truly not ours!!!

This really bugs the crap out of me that they’re going to cancel this amazing show for other shows that are complete garbage. If anything, they should just change the timing for the show, or it should go to a new station. They’re letting a lot of people down, like myself. I was furious when I had heard that it was being canceled and I really couldn’t imagine why because there are so many things that still have yet to be answered on the show. I know that it has gotten a little bit off the main topic off the show, but it’s still a really great show. I’m just really sad to see it go. Now all I have on TV is LOST and Hells Kitchen.
So, Family ABC would rather focus on a show based on teenage pregnancy, than a show that displays good family dynamics. Go figure?

Im a teenage girl. i hate secret life, cause the plot is the same for EVERY episode, hmmmm ricky ben ricky ben ricky ben ricky, INCEST??? ricky ben ricky ben? its soooooo boring. and lets think here about the family part of this show…well theres unprotected teenage sex, rape, incest, abuse, cheating, drugs. i wouldnt be surprised if the annoying overly religious girl tries to make a porn. Which reminds me her dad is played by the same guy who played clark kents dad on smallville, yet another good show abc family booted (luckily picked up by WB). Seriously wheres secret life going after she has the stupid kid? NO WHERE. kyle however, has endless posibilities. ABC, there are three components of a show that make a teenage girl want to watch it, 1. drama 2. hot guys 3. originality. secret life BARELY has two out of three, with not so family oriented drama and two hot guys (ricky and that sluts step brother). weve all seen juno, and beyond the seemingly pointless relationships that dont involve preggo, this is just another story about a whiny teenage girl complaining about how much her life sucks cause of her own mistakes. Kyle hits 3/3. By the end of next year, two spots will need to be filled in the line up, but youll probly just prematurely cancel those also. BAAAAAAAD choice. lets just pray kyle xy gets picked up by the CW or another network that knows which shows to keep and which ones to drop.

I love Kyle XY. It is the only show I watch on ABC Family. I had been hoping for a longer run. Hopefully another network will pick it up. That is truely the best option, seeing that ABC Family does not know what an amzing show they have. I am truely saddened by the shows quick ending.

okay number one; kyle xy is like actually a better show than the secret life. im a big fan of both but they cannot cancel kyle xy because theyre intimidated from the secret life. sometime the secret lifes episodes have no point. that show also helps encourage teen pregnency kind of because she hooked up with a mad hot guy. but kyle xy is a great show it came out way before the secret life and should be around long gone when the secret life is over. decklin,kyle,josh,nate, are really hott and its a reallly good show and i think anyone would want to watch it. if it gets cancelled and doesnt have a 4th season i will like cry. literally. kyle xy is the best show and shouuldnt be cancelled. half the population agrees.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. Kyle XY has the ability to go multiple directions with it’s storyline which is not limited to having a spin off of Jessi XX if her and Kyle don’t end up together in the end or she dies. As for “secret life” it only has 2 outcomes….outcome A: Baby or outcome B: No Baby at which the story would be over and the show would come to an end so we all know which outcome is going to occur but after that the show only has so many directions to go before it’s ultimately cancelled by season 3. So good job ABC Family you’re making one of the greatest mistakes ever.

OMG…Im just now finding out that the show is going to be cancled and I am in a rage!!!!! They cant cancle the show..its ten time better than the secret life…what a stupid show that is!! The only good thing about Mondays is that I got to watch Kyle XY. Now you have taken that away. It was one of the only shows that my 15 year old son and I enjoyed watching together. Please bring KYLE back!!!!!! I do not watch Secret Life or Greek. Kyle is adorable. The others on the show are great as well. Josh, Amanda, Lori, Nicole, Steven, Decland, and even Jessi will be missed, but I will miss Kyle for a while. Dallas is wonderful. I hope he finds a new series soon. I look for him to have a successful future.

This is crazy! Kyle XY is finally a show on ABC family that isn’t the same boring story line. I enjoy the science, even if it’s not always funcitonal. ABC family needs to appeal to all audiences, not just the young teenage girl. This show sets better examples for young girls/boys than does a show about a pregnant 15 year old or sex hungry college students. what kind of example are we aiming for?

I should have expected this. Beside ABC Family the network ABC is going under canceling all the show worth watched, i.e. “Kyle XY”, “Scrubs”, “Eli Stone”, and “Dirty Sexy Money.” Putting a hold on American “Top Gear”, and losing cast members of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
It’s like ABC is being Obama’s baby network turning to pathetic shows such as “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “Greek.” America is not Pleasantville. The reality is that high school and for sure college is not like that especially not frats and sororities.

my boyfriend and i love this show! he is 30 and im 26yrs old. this is the only show we watch on abc. i think everyone can learn a thing or two from this show, so i think they made a big mistake! cause the american teenager show sucks like everything else on this channel!!! kyle xy needs to come back on!!

I cant believe they canceled KYLE XY. Kyle is smart and amazing. That show really defines what family is. After having a show like 7th Heaven, I didn’t think I could trust that channel. the Camdens and their fake family hugs…….nauseating.

I didn’t start watching Kyle xy and now it is getting cancelled! What? There are already shows on ABC geared toward teenage girls. They got Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, Secret Life, and kinda Greek/Lincoln heights. Kyle XY is the only show for us guys on there. And Kyle cy is more of a family show than those. If it weren’t for josh and andy having sex and the language, Kyle xy could be on like Disney. Not to mention the secret life is totally unrealistic. Nobody is that active or full of energy when they are 8 months pregnant.

I’m thinking the powers to be do not know enough about what viewers want to watch. There is a mixed variety out here and although I enjoy Secret Life and Kyle XY, Kyle is my favorite and to cancel it will be a huge mistake. It’s not always about the young female viewers, it’s about pleasing a wide range of viewers that enjoy different types of shows. Make an effort to please all of us or its back to watching the big 3 networks.

Why do they have to cancel Kyle XY? This is one of the few good shows left and it’s so rude that it has to end, especially without the right ending. I like “Secret Life” and since it’s made by “7th heaven” creator, it doesn’t just say have sex like many who don’t watch think. It’s about consequences so I actually think it’s a good show for role models and maybe claim “7th heaven” was and that was about sex too. But I agree that if it’s about teen girls, Matt is hunky to keep their attention. But that “Sophie” and “Roomates”? Do not seem family either – esp with a guy saying he likes boobs in the previews is not family either. I like “Lincoln Heights” and am shocked to hear it’s renewed. It’s hardly heard of. I miss “Wildfire” though and now I’m gonna have to miss “Kyle XY”. I was a late watcher but am addicted now and I’ll even miss Jessi too even though she annoys me half the time. It’s wrong to cancel this but keep “Greek” going for example – what does a college show about dating and partying have to do with family? I’d rather teach my kids what they learn about kids and etc then how to drink and to join a sorority/faternity just to have friends. I am a 38 year old man and I lived for Kyle’s new adventures every week. I really don’t think you should cancel Kyle and have a show on there about a girl having a baby. What are we trying to tell our kids, we tell them not to have sex and TV is telling them to have sex and be happy that a kid is having a kid. You would not believe the way ABC ended the 3rd season! It was horrible! I was an avid Kyle fan and watched every episode, but hearing that ABC family canceled made me angry. They could have at least ended the series on a better note, not when Kyle, once again, is in a heat of battle with Latnok and gets into trouble…that really made me angry…it was the only reason I watched ABC family…THEY SUCK!

I was shocked to see today that kyle xy was cancelled…I didn’t know although I had seen the last episode when it was released and I just thought it was some kind of mid-season stop and I decided to surf the internet today to look for the day of ABC resuming the series and I find out this….it’s kind of depressing…I can’t believe it yet. Ok…I’m officially bummed. I just happened to google Kyle XY to figure out when season four was gonna come out, but whoa is me, the show gets canceled (which was a huge shocker to me by the way). I agree with all the comments saying that the only reason ABC Family was a decent channel was because of shows like Kyle XY. I use to actually anticipate when the next show would come on, which I rarely do now; that’s how good it was. I’ve made myself watch Secret Life once or twice, and it’s a load of garbage. Ya, sure…it has drama and cliff hangers, but it was no where near as intense as Kyle KY. That show was truthfully a master piece and could have had a colorful future.
I suppose I`m not ABC`s target audience. I don`t subscribe to cable however I do watch TV by buying DVD boxed sets and watching the shows I like in my leisure time. I`m also not what ABC considers a `young` female (I`m 30!) But I have to say that I really enjoyed watching Kyle xy! In my mind it was a solid show. There were some issues with consistancy of quality through out the seasons… some episodes were much better than others in terms of the acting and or writting however, overall the show was a great concept and there were solid moments where there were glimpses of fantastic. Its too bad that the show wasnt given a proper ending. Lets face it: Kyle was hot, Jesse was interesting and the Tregers although not what my family looked made you feel good to watch and beleivable. What about Andy — adorable and a great and upcoming. I hope to see Lori, Declan, Josh, Andy, Kyle and Amanda again in other roles where they can really show case their skills. Maybe a made for tv movie to end the series…Please ABC dont leave it at season 3 episode 10! What a let down!! Anyways, the other shows that are airing instead… never even heard of them before (remember I dont have cable!) I guess its back to Dexter and Greys Anatomy…

I cant believe it!! There they go again cancelling a great show. A show that had great family values..yea sure it may have been a little far fetched..but hey..what isnt these days! Shows like the OC, the Hills, Secret Life, etc..I mean seriously come on. I think the reason ABC ditched Kyle was because season three was so terrible. 1 & 2 were great TV but 3 has been painful to watch. Kyle season 3 was some of the worst writing on television. Rather than cancel it though it would have been nice if the producers sent everyone a check for $17.13 with an apology for putting such dribble on the air then hired new writers to get it right. Kyle XY went from being one of the coolest, sleekest shows on TV to the absolute worst.

Our teenage daughter got the whole family hooked on Kyle XY. We bought all of the DVDs for Christmas and sat for days just taking it in. I agree that Kyle temporarily loses its charm at the beginning of the 3rd season, but it rallied considerably towards the end, so much so in fact that it makes one feel emotionally distraught and abandoned at the thought of it ending so abruptly! This is truly a family show…if in fact ABC family is trying to market to families, which I doubt sometimes…and I am not sure why they won’t see this one through! It has so much more potential than the other pitiful melodramas that are out there. These were real people with good hearts. There is someone that everyone can relate to: Mom’s will relate to Nicole and her fierce instincts as a mother for the young, innocent child who is placed in her life. She is a great character. Dads can relate to Steven and his need to protect his family, as well as his struggles to handle the budding sexuality of his teens. Teen daughters and sons can take comfort in this strong family who work together to overcome their differences and their personality flaws. It isn’t perfect, but it is so much better than whatever else is offered out there. Please, someone–some network–get out of character and show some sense and intelligence by bringing this show back. It’s a crime to abort it midstream. There is so much more story left to be told.

Reasons for choosing Kyle XY over THE SECRET LIFE OF AN AMERICAN TEENAGER(TSLAAT).
1) KYLE XY is more out of the ordinary which is what fans want out of TV something they cannot see in everyday life.
2)TSLAAT is just a TV series involving american teenage life which I think almost everyone goes through and do not want to see on TV as well although some lifeless hags and wastes of space may think otherwise.
3)KYLE XY was unfairly cut off on a cliff hang which does not look good for ABC as the FAmily channel just chopped off a family which had reached the hearts of many avid fans.

At first when I saw the previews for this show, I didn’t really care much for it. Then, on my recent trip to the Philippines, I started watching it because there was nothing else to watch. I found it COMPLETELY fascinating and intense, with lots of drama and things that I would not expect that happened. ABC Family has made a HUGE mistake canceling this show, and I hope they’re happy. They lost the hearts of so many fans. If they want to focus on the “young female audience”, I’d say to just choose either 10 Things or Secret Life, so they have enough money to keep Kyle XY up and running. I haven’t seen the Season 3 Finale yet, but if it leaves a mystery and the viewers with so many unanswered questions, I will never be able to find out what happens. I’m completely appalled by ABC Family.
this show was amazing not just because it was great but because you felt such a strong personal connection with the characters. you didn’t just want to see what happened to them you needed to know how they grew each week. i felt very sad and almost cried while watching these lives unfold right in front of my eyes. and i never cry for any reason this touched me and made me want to be a better person and now its gone i feel so cheated and wronged i hope the sci fi channel picks up this show.

Wow! I waited all this time hoping that this show would come back on, but apparently not. I was looking forward to the next season to see what happens. Why build up a good storyline and have faithful viewers just to throw it all away and waste all the time the viewers put into the show. I actually liked this show. Comparing it with the stupid shows out now, really? Secret life has the worst acting I’ve ever seen, and the 10 things show is a joke! I refuse to watch it. Teenage girls are not the only demographic out there. Why make bad tv? Great job abc family, for basically taking away the only decent show you guys had. You are losing viewers b/c honestly you don’t promote good morals by the shows you are keeping Around. How much longer can you create a story out of secret life? It’s so fake and Annoying. Nobody acts like them in real life, at least Kyle xy had real actors and an interestig storyline. It was always something different each time and kept the viewers wanting more. But really abc, thanks for pulling the plug on a show I actually enjoyed and you didn’t even let the story pan out. I mean you couldn’t give it a least one more season to show your appreciation for all the dedicAted fans of the show? I see where you got your priorities! I watched three seasons of this series online within 2weeks online and I am extremely confused why abc cancelled this show. It is an amazing show that had great potential in it’s plot development. All the actors are great and first in a long time where I’ve actually watch a tv series and see all the actors doing a fabolous job on screen. shame on abc for cancelling this series. I never watched secret life of teenage girl and probably won’t.
What was ABC thinking, “It was the show that has defined this network” and they cancel it. Am I missing something??? I just watched the entire series on Hulu and come to find out there’s no proper ending. I knew when I began that it got cancelled but I wasn’t prepared to have liked the show this much. You should’ve heard the profanity that came out of my mouth when I was left with a cliffhanger.
You know what, I’m taking a stand today. I’ve been let down too many times by these tv networks canceling shows because of the all mighty dollar(BS). The same thing happened when ABC cancelled Eli Stone, the one good show one tv that was focused on what’s missing in this world. I’ve had it, NO MORE ABC FOR ME
This blows i just finished watching this show after not seeing it since the the first episode came out and i came across this during my search for when the fourth season was coming up.
I just recently got a bunch of my friends together and we watched every single episode of Kyle XY together and we all love this show and on top of all that i live in a very small town and i have never heard anyone bring up “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”, “Degrassi”, “Greek”, or “Falcon Heights” and the only reason i know the first two is because they have commercials about those shows on ABC Family and the reason i know Falcon heights is because they were commercials after Kyle XY ended because that show was after it.
And on top of shows i have never heard anyone bring up in our discussions of “GREAT” shows i have never heard anyone bring up i have never heard any of the names above in quotes listed but shows we have talked about is “Kyle XY” because the mystery of what kyle is capable of is mind blowing and exhilarating and the show also provides a hint of humor which gives it individuality and after they got to see the first episode they knew this show was amazing, next “Bones” because it gave us a view of what human nature is and how science plays one of hte biggest parts of our lives and we learned how much we wanted to know about it, then “Ghost whisperer” which we had many ideas of how we could have made that show more interesting but the thing is we have talked about Kyle XY more and more and no matter how hard we try we could not find any way to make the show better because it was perfect and thrilling as it was, another show that we discussed was “Supernatural” because it consists of adventure, thrills, and we could never tell what surprises would come nest, after that there is “Chuck” which is a very funny adventure show that includes romance, secrecy, danger and thrills, action, adventure, and friendship and all these attributes consist with the show “Psych” which is another great show we discuss and continue to watch unless they are cancelled.
My point behind all this is i have not heard any talk from my friends about the “popular shows”, <–(sarcasm), that the network has listed and have chosen to continue by renewing their contracts and cancelling the shows that my friends and i and a lot more people have all taken an interest in .

It is a very interesting series… I hadnt intended on watching it in the beginning but I got hooked to it because of my brother and found that I enjoyed every episode! ABC FAMILY should reconsider their decision and bring back Kyle XY!!

i say that is was a bad choise to stop filming kyle xy and if they knew that they were going to stop they should of at least made a movie that explaines what happens next also again stoping the fourth season of kyle xy was the most stupd thing that they had done because lots of people enjoy science fiction stories it gives them something to think about likt what if it was possible? but they still havent mentioned anything yet so far im an example of a huge fan of kyle xy and i was really disapointed when i finished season 3 and found out that they just stopedit like that! i spent 3 nights including the day that im writing this on here really 24/7 for 3 whole days well i took a few naps tho but this proves something that if i stayed up all night and day then alot of other kyle xy fans who really like the show and just dont stop watching even tho you already know what will happens next because you already watched it a million times should know that it wasnt ok to not make more seasons of kyle xy, it was a huge bad desision they would of got millions of ratings and would of become the most popular tv show and that means they would of made alot of money. but the point is that im writing this because it wasnt ok to stop making kyle xy and for making season 3 only 10 episodes!!!!so i hope that someone who cares is reading this and feels the same way and will do something to save this show kyle xy because if you really want something sooooo much you will at least try and do something!!im just wishing that this message will do something to change the desision of stoping kyle xy and if not i still have more to say but thats most of what i think of it
I very much enjoyed Kyle XY when it was on. I CANNOT stand Secret Life. It very much annoys me. As teenagers we get enough drama between girls. Not that Kyle XY didn’t have its share of dramatic scenes. That was a different kind of drama. Secret Life is so predictable. Kyle XY should be returned to ABC Family and if not it should be sold to a different company and aired on a different channel. HUGE… where to begin there? WOW. That show is very depressing. Not only does it make over weight teens feel worse about themselves but it has almost as much drama as Secret Life.. I am very dissapointed with ABC Family.

Well as mentioned from countless tv viewers this series should go on . Lots of people want season 4 to begin …..
Common , it’s obvious that the series were NOT about to end and just a council put it off. This isn’t the proper ending which the viewers AND the channel’s reputation deserve … Well the only issue that has to be fixed is Kyle’s behaviour …. I know that the production wanted to put him closer to the ethical human standards and that’s what lowered ( only a little ) the level of the series . We have seen kyle’s human side .. Now we must see him not innocent , but wise . I love the “ending” which is the best introduction to season 4 as it has created great anticipation … Also the confusion with jessie and amanda is nice , but still i believe that jessie outclasses Amanda in every way ….
If anyone with power is reading this plz reconsider … Kyle’s comeback can be a HUGE success if you manipulate it the right way

ABC!!! I have a problem. Umm I have no clue how to get you all to put kyle xy back on the air. It has been said that kyle xy has been taken of air because the secret life but honestly is it better to send a message to all these teenagers thats its ok to have a child at such a young age (15) come on you and i both know that its not the type of message we want our youth to get from that show. I believe that kyle xy was awesome because it got people to look at others differently without judgement i also believe that if kyle xy was given a chance it would have brought Abc new viewers. ABC Family has given up on the show that made it what it is today. They believe that this series has run its course, but so many people disagree and want to see it continue. ABC Family cites the declining ratings as the source of the cancellation and it is true that this has happened, but one must look at the situation before making a final decision. It is hard for a show to make it in any situation, but Kyle XY has been put through nearly everything that could derail it and its fans still care so much to fight to save it. I’ve never heard of a show being off of the air for nearly a year let alone it then coming back with little promotion from the company. ABC Family took advantage of the fans of Kyle XY by relying on them to do everything for the show but that just isn’t possible.
We have done a lot, but ABC Family doesn’t see it as enough. That is why we the fans have looked for alternatives for our beloved show. We have spent hours of time in thought and action designing web sites, petitions, and writing letters like this one.
Personally, I have written a letter everyday since I learned that the show was being canceled a couple of weeks ago. If a chance is taken on this show, the fans will not disappoint. We are very loyal to the show and not the station that it airs on. It is evident that a lot of people truly care about the show and will due nearly anything to keep our show around. ABC Family might have given up on Kyle XY, but the fans are a long way from that. I am just asking for a chance to be taken on this wonderful show.

I just finished watching all of the season’s of Kyle XY. I liked it so much, I couldn’t stop watching it.
The ending just left me wondering what’s gonna happen to Kyle and the rest of the family now.
ABC Family should definitely make at least one more season to finish what they started.

Kyle XY is an incredible show. It taught it’s audience what it truly meant to be a family. The parents were ideal role models in that they were involved in each of their children’s lives, disciplinarians where they were firm when needed, and nurturing as they laced the training of their family with love. Kyle and all the cast members of the show will truly be missed!

My name is Mychal, a long time ago when this show first came around, and I saw the first preview for this show, I was ecstatic. I love sci-fi, sci-fi is my life. When I started watching the show I felt an instant connection with it, it had all the right make-ups for the perfect show. It was funny, it was educational, it was supportive, it deffinitley had the sci-fi part down to a “T”, it was suspenseful, and most of all it was heartfelt. At the time when the first episodes came out, I do believe I was in my last years of middle school, and I know it will sound wierd but this show really did help prepare me for what to expect in the big, bad high school years. I’m not one of those people that are going to say that “Kyle XY was my life, and if you don’t bring it back, I’m going to kill myself”, because honestly, ABC Family, I dont consider you worth the time. And I sure as hell wouldn’t waste my life for some brainless and heartless fools who can honestly say they think a show like Secret Life could even begin to compare to Kyle XY.
I can recall a specific episode that touched my heart dearly. It was the beginning episode for season two, The Prophet. That moment after Nicole had finally decided to try and move past her heartache at missiing Kyle, and he shows up at the house. The moment everyone sees him you can just feel their joy at his return, and likewise for Kyle. Yes that was all nice, but the moment that really got me bawling like a baby was after Nicole got her first glimpse of him. I’m telling you, Marguerite Macintyre is brilliant, the way those emotions were shown on her face, but it was more than that, I could tell she was putting her heart and soul into it.
I think they should at least make a movie to propely end the series for all the upset fans. Or take the time to finish the series properly. Hope this is taken into concideration =)

I watched every single episode of Kyle xy in a week. I have never watched ABC family ‘cept for whose line and Americas funniest home videos. I’m a 14 year old guy and for the first time in a very long time me and my 16 year old brother bonded over Kyle XY. My whole family fell in love with it. This show need at least one more episode or some ending. This show is the best one I’ve seen in a very very long time. I almost think that this is better then heros. And even that got canceled. But I can see why cuz it fell apart at the end but Kyle was just getting started. Abc family I refuse to watch u again unless u bring Kyle XY back.

I don’t know if i can add anything to this because all of the fans before me have expressed exactly what I’m feeling plus all of my complaints for the network and hopes for the show. I mean for once a show brought in front some REAL teenage problems and grown-up problems too but simultaneously had a catchy mysterious sience fiction story line. If anything this show has not been merely entertaining but educating. Then again that’s probably why it was canceled. I have just recently started watching Kyle XY and from the very first episode I knew I loved it I wished it would never end then when I saw that I had only the last episode to watch I thought well at least I’ll know what happens to all the character and I started watching it I saw that Amanda wanted Kyle back Kyle was about to kill Cassidy and then he said they were brothers and at that point I had all of that episode running through my head and I was wondering are kyle and Cassidy really related are amanda and Kyle getting back together and is Kyle going to tell Amanda everything and the it ended and I thought it can’t end like this how could this happen I couldn’t go on not knowing so I spend a lot of time hopeing that one day it will finally end and I can understand everthing so please put Kyle XY back on abc

This is really a warming and touching TV series I’ve ever seen! Each character has his/her own features and something he/she likes and hates. They almostly live around you and me. ABC Family just can’t send them away from us without a good ending.

Kyle xy is one of the only shows myself and my roommates watch! it is clean, has some suspense, comedy, action…etc. all of the actresses and actors are GREAT, and not just because they are cute or whatever! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK! what will it take for us to convince you?????

All i have to say is, WTF!?!?! Thats how they end it?? How are you going to leave us hanging, not even almost ending it but basically starting it back up??? Im highly disappointed at the people making decisions to cancel this show. Ive watched secret life, jane by design, and switched at birth and honestly it was tied with switched at birth for my all time favorite, but guess im stuck with Switched at Birth because Kyle xy is CANCELED! smh its a shame what the tv production of the world is coming to.

We live in a society that watches exhausted seasons of Gossip Girl, 90210, American Teenager, and so on. But we couldn’t save Kyle. Even Smallville got nine freaking seasons. I’m used to seeing shows die out from over-exploitation and indulgence in maudlin emotion. But never have I seen the spark of so much potential silenced in the womb (or pod, if necessary). Perhaps the fault was in the advertising, perhaps it was that people didn’t know what they were missing. Nevertheless, I fear the nature of true art has become sparse in the age of economics. But I will say, the fact that Kyle XY was left with many cliffhangers does at least preserve all the excellence it was, instead of quenching all our questions and leaving us dull in complaisance. My mind with always be reeling with the nagging mysteries, and it will not be injured by a conclusion that did not do the series justice. In the end though, I know there was something that could have been said that wasn’t. That loss is monumental, a great wound to those who acknowledge it and a striking emptiness for to those who live their daily lives without knowledge of the series.

They stopped showing a show that would encourage yound minds to be a scientist or to do the right thing for a show about teenagers that get pregnant and another show (greek) that i have no idea about. I personally think they should bring back kyle xy and take out the secret life or greek. Thank goodness for Netflix. Just finished Kyle XY and I cannot beleive they ended it on s3e10. Just left it there? What were you thinking ABC? I agree with every post to finish what you started. These characters become part of our lives and tune us in to see the life ACB created, then to just end it? I’m not buying the reasons, that the writers went to another show. There are a ton of script writers out there. Hire them and finish what you started. It was a chance for my daughter and I to be together in the same room, away from her life addicting World of Warcraft game. We spent time together, laughing, predicting outcomes, having conversation with each other about the show. We are not into TV shows filled with stupidity that is on today. I see a patter that the good, wholesome, family building tv shows get cancelled for reality trash. Seems to me that 230 comments on this page all agree and I’m heading right over to FB to post my views there as well. Shame on your ABCFamily for cancelling a show mid-season, even if it was a few years ago. Seems that with people still posting comments about a show that got cancelled years ago, it’s still very much alive.

You don’t get it ABC do you? You always try to please one side of the gender, and you favored the female over the male and it isn’t fair for the male. It brings in a huge favor to ask to bring back Kyle XY, because all of ABC shows are always entertaining teenage girls, and losing the male population which isn’t fair and it should be returned to the fact that you lost one gender side, which is not fair and it should be fixed. If you want to really get ABC to survive you would return Kyle XY and it would bring huge ratings for the show, and boost ABC back to the top.

ABC has really been a let-down lately. I find a show I like (Nine Lives of Chloe King) and it gets cancelled. Then I find another that I like even more (Kyle XY) and find that it was cancelled as well.
Personally, I will not be watching anything aired on that station in the future. You just lost yourself a viewer, ABC. Good job.

hey i love this show i use to watch it every monday night at 9 when it was on. i hate how the third season ended i wish i knew what happen when kyle xy finds out that Cassidy is his half brother and then finds out everything he was doing and the very last episode on the third season klye attacks Chassidy. then it end that pissed me off because we don’t know if someone trieds to help chassidy or if kyle really hurts him or tried to kill himand i know there was going to be a fourth season but it didnt come out because the show was not pupular. but i am one of the biggest fans i wish it would come back on

I’ve only just got into Kyle XY and watched the whole 3 seasons in one week because I was that hooked on the show. I’m from the UK and had never heard of it before until last week (November 2012) and cannot believe that it was cancelled like it was. I, like many other fans, am completely gutted that it just ends complete mid-flow without any attempt of closure for the characters or storylines. As other fans have put it, imagine watching the infamous Star Wars scene between Luke and Vadar, “I am your father” and then the credits start rolling immediately after this bombshell is dropped. Cinema goers would demand a refund!! Yet, it somehow seems acceptable behaving in this manner for TV shows. It is utter rubbish that it wasn’t popular as there are still fans out there campaigning to “save the tub” and I feel that ABC Family ditched it due to greed and wanting another new show to haul in even higher ratings. Just like Futurama, KXY’s timeslot was moved several times making it difficult for viewers to regularly catch the show. Futurama has come back, so why can’t Kyle?! It seems with services like Netflix and Lovefilm Kyle XY will still continue to draw in new fans. Long live the tub!
Kyle XY is an amazing series, I am tatally disgusted with the ending and also the way they just started to produce The Secret Life of the American Teenager and ignore Kyle XY and it’s brilliance!

Hi, to all the Kyle XY fans that have posted previous feedback. I have just finished watching this show Season 3 episode 10 finale via downloading episodes and then found out that the story finished, when I searched for Season 4 Episode 1. My search for answers brought me to this forum. This show touches on all aspects of family life dealing with changing circumstances on a daily basis via a sci-fi story. Very good writers and an excellent cast hooked me. This is almost 4 years after the show was axed, I think all that the fans want is closure, even 1 final episode with a decent story ending. I wonder if it’s possible for your American networks to do this, preferably ABC Family the “Buck stops with You.” I am an Aussie family man 62 years old, with a wife and 2 sons, just one fan of an International fan base wanting you Yankees to finish what you started…….C’mon!!

Are you all serious!!! $#@ I watched all those shows on netflix only to google and find that Kyle xy was cancelled. Please, please give a clean ending. I was highly addicted to it and then suddenly disappointed. OMG.

Whats the matter with people these days. So many people loved kyle xy because of its characters, plotlines, the entertainment and the drama. Trully, this was the best show i have ever saw and now that it stopped i stopped wtching t.v. :-/
I hope ABC family has commen sense to bring back kyle xy and that will be the day when i will start watching t.v.

Kyle XY was the best television series I have ever seen. I watch a handful of great television series as well, and none of them even lack in comparison to Kyle XY. When the producers find time, money, or interest to bring it back do so. KEEP Jessi though. She is my favorite character.

I just finished watching Kyle XY on netflix. I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with the last episode. I got online to google it only to find out ABC cancelled it, for some idiot show. This is why I hate watching TV, cause the networks always ruin your TV buzz. They put on an great show, and do something stupid like pulling it and leaving you very unsatisfied. It is a pity that some other network did not pick it back up. I think with the out pouring of fans, whatever network did pick it up would make a killing. Especially when you have people commenting on it 4 years after it was cancelled. That has to say SOMETHING about the series. Should someone intelligent at one of the networks sees this and realizes it… I hope they also have the brain to try and get the same cast that started it 7 years or so ago. Soon someone has to get a brain at one of the big networks.
I just finished watchinf Kyle XY on Netflix like about 10 minutes ago and I had to know what happened, so i googled it and when i found this out I was so mad because I hated how it ended. I mean I wanna know what happens and now I can’t because it’s freaking canceled. Like seriously who is dumb enough to cancel a show as exciting as Kyle XY and with a really sexy guy. I just hope one day these people will get their heads out of their butts and realize how dumb they were to cancel the show.

Abc, with all do respect i think ur mest up for canncelling kyle xy. you leave everyone who watches it sadend and confused and whatever else they feel for cancelling it. No lie i want the whole show to last forever but thats just my opinion.Abc you finally have the biggest rating in the world that you wanted from a great show that has to do with the life of a teen,why cancel it.All i want is for Abc to bring the show back with at least 1 million more seasons. That is dumb, I’m boy cotting abc. I’M a TEN YEARS old girl, and I tried watching the secret life of an American teenager, and hated it from the start. It’s inappropriate an has horrible actors. KYLE XY has the best actors I have seen in a long time. I will not ever watch any abc show until they restart Kyle XY. this is the stupidest thing any network has EVER done. I just watched all the seasons on Hulu and let me tell u, I am pissed at the way they left it,,,how asinine of a tv company is ABC??? really? you put that trailer park trash like secret life on, which probably incourages girls to go get knocked up, and take off a great program like Kyle XY…I will NEVER tune into your station again!
i just got around to watching all the episodes of kyle xy and it is an awesome show, i cant understand why i never heard of it and why it was cancelled as it was really entertaining unlike the crap the stick on now.. i hope who ever made that silly decision is no longer employed
I just got done watching all 3 season of this show & it was amazing . Yall seriously should finish it at least , I would pay to watch more of it . BRING IT BACK.
I just finished watching all 3 seasons of Kyle XY and I cannot believe how they just left us hanging at the end! This was a great family show, I’m sad that they do not have it on TV anymore. They should have continued with the story…..
Just Finished watching Kyle XY on Netflix, i remember watching it years ago and never finishing it. Now after watching all 3 seasons. I am disappointed that they left off at a climax that Cassidy was Kyles brother. I think they should bring the show back and finish off a 4th and final season.
