Review: Kyle XY Season 3 Premiere
Monday January 12, 2009
The 10-episode third season of the ABC Family series Kyle XY debuts tonight, and the signs so far is that it should be a reasonably strong season: Kyle is starting to grow into a hero, having become confident in both his abilities and his purpose.
The main problem with this development is that it causes him to emerge from the need for the protective/nurturing environment and example of the all-American Tragers, which has the potential to make the show feel a little disjointed (although the writers have made sure to include some ties between Kyle's issues and the Tragers'). More on how the season starts out in my review (there's also an image gallery).
The good news is you can watch this episode before it airs on ABC Family. The network released the premiere the weekend before on Fancast.com. Check out "It Happened One Night" and let me know what you think – you can even write your own review.
