Here are a few ways to catch an early glimpse of Legend of the Seeker, the fantasy series based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. Legend debuts this weekend in syndication as a two-hour premiere.
  • I've posted an image gallery of scenes from the show. They give a pretty good indication of what the show, which is filmed in New Zealand, will look like.
  • An exclusive half-hour extended preview of the premiere is now available on iTunes (this link will take you directly to it if you have iTunes installed).
  • The documentary Making of a Legend, hosted by Lucy Lawless (star of a certain fantasy series that was also made in New Zealand), is airing this week on most stations that will be carrying Legend. The doc is also available on iTunes.
  • Not sure where and when Legend is showing in your area? Here's how to find out.
Here's the official synopsis: Legend of the Seeker explores the adventures of woodsman Richard Cypher (Craig Horner, Monarch Cove and Blue Water High), who discovers that he was born to fulfill a prophecy of becoming a guardian hero to oppressed people. With the help of a mysterious woman named Kahlan (Bridget Regan, Sex and the City and Six Degrees) and a wise old wizard named Zedd (Bruce Spence, Mad Max 2 and The Matrix Revolutions), he must stop a ruthless and bloodthirsty tyrant named Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, Haldir from The Lord of the Rings) from unleashing an ancient evil and enslaving the world.

Legend of the Seeker also stars David de Lautour (What I Like About You) and Jay Laga'aia (Typho from the Star Wars prequels).

More on Legend to come throughout the week, including what to expect from the show and (hopefully) an advance review.
